Functionality and Issue Corrections

Steps have been taken to:

  • Stop the duplication of Portal Event History entries.

  • Prevent the “Unexpected Portal Update” error.

  • Display the correct student email address in the Portal History, when the designated school official (DSO) changes the student’s email address in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

  • Prevent students from entering employment end dates outside the U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) authorized employment end dates.

During the deployment, students will not be able to log in to the SEVP Portal. Any new information entered in SEVIS will be stored and uploaded to the Portal, once the Portal is back online.
