Designated school officials (DSOs) can access SEVIS reports on students, dependents, or DSOs from the DSO Reports page:

  • Detailed Student Report – Initial and Active Status
  • Summary Report of Active Students – Authorized to Drop Below Full Course
  • Summary Report of Active Students – with a Specific Employment Type
  • Summary Report of Active Students – with Requested, Pending, or Approved Extensions
  • Summary Report of Active Students – with a Transfer Pending Status
  • Summary Report of Terminated Students
  • Detailed Dependent Report – Active Status
  • Detailed Dependent Report – within 0-6 months of 21st Birthday
  • Detailed DSO Report

  • Reports available from this page are of very limited use. These reports were created in the early days of SEVIS.
  • These reports may time out and will not run.
  • The reports can be printed but not downloaded.
  • DSOs can access recently created reports from the SEVIS Downloads page.

To access and run the DSO reports:

  1. Navigate to Listing of Schools page.

2. Select the school and campus for which you want the report.

3. Click the Reports tab. The DSO Reports page opens.

 4. Click the radio button for either HTML or Text format.

 5. Click the radio button for the report you want to run.

 6. Click Submit to execute the report. For Students and Dependents Reports, a Report Criteria page opens separately.

7. Click the Visa Type drop-down arrow to select F, M, or F/M.

8. Click Submit. SEVIS opens the requested reports page separately.

The report will return a maximum of 10,000 records.

SEVIS offers DSOs six unique reports on students.

Detailed Student Report – Initial and Active Status

The Detailed Student Report – Initial and Active Status report provides the Student Name, SEVIS ID, Status, Status Change Date, Visa Class, and Program Start/End Date of all students in Initial and Active status at the school.

Summary Report of Active Students – Authorized to Drop Below Full Course

The Summary Report of Active Students – Authorized to Drop Below Full Course report provides the number of students approved to drop below a full course load at a given school or campus. The report includes the School Name, School Code, and Total Students authorized below full course level at the school. It does not list the individual students.

Summary Report of Active Students – with a Specific Employment Type

The Summary Report of Active Students – with a Specific Employment Type report returns the total number of students employed in curriculum practical training (CPT), optional practical training (OPT) and off-campus employment. The report includes the School Name, School Code, Employment Type, and Total Students per employment type at the school. It does not list the individual students.

Summary Report of Active Students – with Requested, Pending, or Approved Extensions

The Summary Report of Active Students – with Requested, Pending, or Approved Extensions report returns the total number of students with extensions. It provides a summary total of all students with each type of extension. The report includes the School Name/Campus Name, School Code, and Active Students with Extensions at the school. It does not list the individual students.

Summary Report of Active Students – with Transfer Pending Status

The Summary Report of Active Students – with Transfer Pending Status report returns the total number of students with Transfer Pending status at a school. The report includes the School Name, School Code, and Transfer IN and Transfer OUT number of students at the school. It does not list the individual students.

Summary Report of Terminated Students

The Summary Report of Terminated Students report returns the total number of students in Terminated Status. The report includes the School Name/Campus Name, School Code, Termination Reason, and Terminated Students number grouped by termination reason at the school. It does not list the individual students.

SEVIS offers DSOs two reports on dependents.

Detailed Dependent Report – Active Status

The Detailed Dependent Report – Active Status report lists all students and their dependents in Active status at the school. The report provides the School Name, School Code, Student Name, Dependent Name, Student SEVIS ID, Dependent SEVIS ID, Student Visa Class, Relationship, Program Start/End Date, and Dependent DOB (date of birth) of all students with dependents at the school.

Detailed Dependent Report – within 0-6 months of 21st Birthday

The Detailed Dependent Report – within 0-6 months of 21st Birthday reports lists all Students and their Dependents, when the dependent is within 6 months of their 21st birthday. The report provides the Dependent DOB (date of birth), School Name, School Code, Dependent Name, Dependent SEVIS ID, Student Name, Student SEVIS ID, Student Visa Class, and Program Start/End Date of all students at the school, who have dependents within six months of their 21st birthday.
