When viewing the information on the F or M dependents, the designated school official (DSO) may:

  • View information about the dependent.
  • Take specific actions on the dependent’s record.

To view the dependent’s information:

  1. Go to the Student Information page.

 2. Click the dependent’s SEVIS ID in the Dependents section. The Student Information page with a Dependent Information section opens.

The student’s information displays above the dependent’s information.

The Action and View links on the left side of the Student Information page with a Dependent Information section allow DSOs to take specific actions.

  • Update
    • Opens the Update Dependent page.

  • Terminate
    • Opens the Terminate Dependent page.

  • Event History

    • Opens the Event History page for the dependent’s SEVIS record 

Dependent event history.

Allows DSOs to view information about all actions taken on a dependent’s record since it was created.

The four buttons along the top of the Student Information page with a Dependent Information section allow the DSO to:

  • Print Dependent I-20
  • Print Draft Dependent I-20
    • Opens a Draft Dependent Form I-20 in PDF format.
    • PDF document has the watermark “DRAFT” on each page.
  • View Dependent List
    • Opens the Dependents page.

  • Dependents are listed in the Dependents section.
  • Action links and button available from the Dependents page are:
    • Dependents SEVIS ID: Returns to the Student Information page with a Dependent Information section.
    • Update: Opens Update Dependent page.
    • Terminate: Opens Terminate Dependent page.
    • Add Dependent: Opens Add Dependent  page.
    • Return: Returns to the Student Information page. 
  • Return to Student to the Student Information page.
