Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Downloads page contains reports and downloads that designated school officials (DSOs) can use to find hard to collect data from their SEVIS student records.

To access the SEVIS Downloads page:

  1. Go to the Listing of Schools page.
Listing of Schools Page with Downloads Tab highlighted

2. Click the Downloads button. The SEVIS Downloads page opens.

SEVIS Downloads page with Reports, Systems Downloads, and Requested Form Reprints highlighted

The SEVIS Downloads page has three sections:

  • Reports: Detailed SEVIS reports on student records.
  • System Downloads: SEVIS downloads on select student records.
  • Requested Form Reprints: Retrievable Forms I-20 that are part of a mass reprint request.

The Reports section on the SEVIS Downloads page has two separate reports that provide important information for school officials:

Reports section contains two reports to select by clicking on SCV or Excel
  • SEVIS Updates Submitted by Students: This report contains updates that students on post-completion optional practical training (OPT) and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) OPT entered into their Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Portal accounts. For more information on opening the report and what data is in the table, see the SEVIS and the Portal Help Hub article.
  • Student Report for School Officials: This report provides a detailed list of student records by school campus and student status. For more information on running the report and what data is in the report, see the Student Report for School Officials Help Hub article.

System Downloads

The System Downloads section has links to downloadable students lists, which are limited to SEVIS specified parameters. Currently, the downloads include:

System Downloads section contains example of a report that can be run.
  • List of Active Students for Whom a Telephone Number and/or E-mail Address is Missing.
  • Students with Active STEM OPT.
  • Mass Registration jobs that have been run within 120 days: See the Mass Registration Help Hub article for more information.

The System Downloads tables lists the available downloads and shows the date the download was generated, title, description of the download, and available file type. Downloads can be opened in either comma-separated values (CSV) format or Microsoft Excel format.

To open and save the downloads, click the desired file type, CSV or Excel; and use the application functions to Open and/or Save the file.

System Downloads 2

The bottom section of the SEVIS Downloads page lists a school’s mass Form I-20 reprint requests, which were submitted previously from the Mass Actions page. Information about reprint requests includes the date submitted, date the reprint was generated, status of the request, title, number of records included, who made the request and the file link. Generated forms are available here for all designated school officials. Forms stay on the page for seven days after delivery. See the COE (Form I-20) Mass Reprint article for more information.
