SEVP Portal Release 5.6 is a technical release only and does not have any new functionalities for the student. However, this release will fix the:

Optional practical training (OPT) Start Date from displaying the day before the actual start date.
Student’s issue when requesting a password reset.

During the deployment students will not be able to log into the SEVP Portal. Any new information entered in SEVIS will be stored and uploaded to the SEVP Portal once the Portal is back online.
