Functionality Notes
Students can change their Contact and Employment Information up to 15 days after the end of optional practical training (OPT).  
Portal will send a new account creation email for a new period of OPT, even though the student did not create a Portal account during a prior OPT period.  
“Expand All” and “Collapse All” options added to the History section.  
SEVP Portal’s Account Closed status will display in the student’s SEVIS Event History page.  

Text fields will have a Characters Remaining countdown field, starting at 1000 characters.

Currently, SEVP expects the outage to last four hours (approximately).
