The one-year limit on off-campus employment for Special Student Relief will be removed. 

NOTE: When requesting off-campus employment for Special Student Relief (SSR), designated school officials (DSOs) will be able to enter an employment end date that corresponds to the student’s program end date or the SSR end date in the Federal Register SSR notice (whichever is earlier).

When adding an existing SEVIS user to a Form I-17, Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student, the principal designated school official (PDSO) must attest to and submit the Form I-17 before the existing SEVIS user will have access to that school’s SEVIS records.   Yes No No
The Authorize to Drop Below Full Course page will be updated to the newer SEVIS page look and feel.  Yes No No
After a Responsible Officer/Alternate Responsible Officer (RO/ARO) validates an exchange visitor’s (EV’s) record, that EV’s information page will display.  No Yes No

*The Batch schema will be updated to reflect these changes in a future release. Until these changes are made to the schema and officially deployed, process off-campus employment requests through the SEVIS real time interface (RTI) web-based service. SEVP also reminds users that the only acceptable way to enter data into SEVIS is either by manually keying data into each field through the RTI or by using batch processing software to upload the files using the SEVP-provided batch schema and application programming interface (API).
