This release resolves issues found with the automated e-mail feature added in SEVIS Release 6.62. E-mails should have been sent to exchange visitors when their status changed to Active, Inactive, No Show, Terminated, or Transferred. The following issues were identified after the release and have been resolved in SEVIS Release 6.62.3:
· Inactive – Some exchange visitors were receiving duplicate e-mails for the same update. This release will ensure that exchange visitors only receive one e-mail.
· No Show – E-mails were only sent when exchange visitors were manually changed by an RO/ARO to No Show. This release will ensure that exchange visitors who are automatically changed to No Show also receive an automated e-mail.
· Transferred – When transferring an exchange visitor’s record, RO/AROs are required to enter an Effective Date of Transfer (EDT). In Release 6.62, the system mistakenly sent the e-mail when the event was submitted instead of sending it when the status changed on the EDT. This release will ensure that the e-mail is only sent when the status changes to Transferred.
· Terminated – When terminating an exchange visitor’s record, RO/AROs are required to enter an Effective Date of Termination (EDT). In Release 6.62, the system mistakenly sent the e-mail when the Terminate EV event was submitted instead of sending it when the status changed on the EDT. This release will ensure the e-mail is only sent when the status changes to Terminated.
