Note: Initially, the City of Birth requirement for students and dependents upon updating certain fields was going to be included in the SEVIS 6.55 Release; but this requirement has been postponed until a later date.

Although the City of Birth will not be required after SEVIS 6.55 Release, it will still be available as an optional field.

The SEVP Portal will be unavailable during the SEVIS outage period. Students will not be able to make changes to their portal accounts.
