The annual SEVIS by the Numbers (SBTN) report features data and trends about the international student community and allows for greater transparency and improved oversight of the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). In the past three years, SEVP has produced a more detailed and in-depth report than ever before and provided more detail on www.ice.gov/SEVPdata.
Beware of a scam involving individuals using the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Response Center (SRC) phone numbers (703-603-3400 and 800-892-4829) and claiming to be SRC representatives. The fraudulent callers are inquiring about Form I-94 documents and asking students to provide financial information. Please report all incidents to the HSI tip line. If you are unsure about the validity of a call from an SEVP official, you can also reach out to your designated school official.
General Information The Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requires an annual verification that all users who access a federal system have both the business need and the authorization to access the system. To comply with FISMA, principal designated school officials (PDSOs) and responsible officers (ROs) must annually verify that all PDSOs, designated school officials (DSOs), ROs and alternate responsible officers (AROs) who have access to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS):

Due to recent system improvements, the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) now sends relevant information to the SEVP Portal once an hour, instead of every three hours. This enhancement improves the speed at which students may see designated school official-added information in their Portal accounts. A few reminders regarding this change:
