DSOs: Complete Your Mandatory SEVIS Annual Verification
The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) verification period runs from Dec. 2, 2018, to March 2, 2019.
During this 90-day period, all principal designated school officials (PDSO), designated school officials (DSO), responsible officers (RO) and alternate responsible officers (ARO) must verify with their Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP)-certified school that they:
- Are employed by the school as a PDSO, DSO, RO or ARO.
- Continue to require access to SEVIS.
All unverified users will lose SEVIS access on March 3, 2019. For detailed instructions on how to fulfill this requirement, visit the SEVIS Help Hub’s PDSO/DSO Annual Verification User Guide and Demonstration: Annual Verification instructional video.
If your school does not have a PDSO, or your PDSO will not be available during the verification period, please begin the process of selecting another individual to act in their place. For further instructions, please refer to:
- SEVP Fact Sheet: Designated School Official Submissions on ICE.gov/SEVP.
- SEVIS Job Aid: Update School Officials on the SEVIS Help Hub.
For additional questions, please contact your assigned SEVP field representative or the SEVP Response Center.
