
SEVP Director Farrell Recaps the NAFSA 2016 Annual Conference & Expo

Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Director Lou Farrell shares highlights from the NAFSA 2016 Annual Conference & Expo in the latest edition of SEVP Spotlight.
In the article, Director Farrell discusses SEVP’s participation in an open meeting between NAFSA: Association of International Educators stakeholders and SEVP leadership. During the session, stakeholders shared their feedback with SEVP and talked about issues affecting the international education community, including student transfers, pathway programs and curricular practical training.
In fall 2016, SEVP will launch the Response Catalog, an enhancement to Study in the States that will serve as a central location for information about stakeholder feedback and the corresponding SEVP responses.
The latest Spotlight edition also highlights recent enhancements to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System and summarizes the most recent biannual meeting of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS)Academic Advisory Council. .
