Two Weeks Left to Comment on SEVP Draft Policy Guidance

September 14, 2015

The public comment period for the five employment-related Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) draft policy guidance documents closes in two weeks, on Monday, Sept. 28.

Up until that time, everyone (regardless of affiliation) may comment on the draft guidance by emailing their feedback to SEVPFeedback@ice.dhs.gov. Please use the title of the guidance in the subject line. Remember that while SEVP reviews and considers all comments when refining its guidance, it does not respond to specific individual comments submitted.

Draft guidance is not official SEVP policy or official federal regulation. Draft guidance is intended to ensure public understanding of how SEVP adjudicators apply decisions. Until published as interim final or final, the guidance is still in development and not official policy.

For more information about the differences between draft guidance, official policy and governing regulations please visit our SEVP Guidance for Comment.

Remind your colleagues that the public comment period is closing soon by sharing this post with your social network using the hashtag #StudyintheStates.
