Blog Post Comment Policy

Introduction

You may submit comments to blog and news posts on the blog section of Study in the States. The purpose of allowing comments on the blog is to facilitate an ongoing dialogue on international education. We encourage your comments. While we will not be able to respond to all comments, we will use the information that you provide to inform Study in the States content. You can make a comment to a blog or news post in the text box at the bottom of each post and then click the “submit comment” button. By providing your email address you are allowing DHS the opportunity to respond to your comments or questions. DHS will not retain your email address or provide it to third parties. Your email address is used solely to communicate with you regarding your feedback.

The views expressed on the site by commentators do not necessarily reflect the official views of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or the federal government, and DHS reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.

Personally Identifiable Information

To protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include personally identifiable information such as name, Social Security number, phone number, or email addresses in the body of your comment. You have the option of posting comments anonymously, but if you opt not to, any information, including your login name, may be displayed on our site. We recommend that you include relevant non-personal information that will make the comment clear and useful. For example, let us know if you are a school official, current student, prospective student, or former student.

Media Inquiries

Comments from members of the media will not be posted. These comments will be forwarded to the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Office of Public Affairs. Members of the media are asked to send questions to ICE Office of Public Affairs at (202) 732-4242.
