The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) recently upgraded to Release 6.51. This release introduced several new information fields for adding or updating personal information.

These new optional fields include:

• City of Birth for F and M students and dependents (The city of birth will become required with the SEVIS release planned for late summer 2020.)
• U.S. Telephone number for F-2, M-2 and J-2 dependents
• U.S. Physical Address for F-2, M-2 and J-2 dependents
• U.S. Mailing Address for F-2, M-2 and J-2 dependents
