Visit the Frequently Asked Questions Tool on Study in the States

In December 2017, Study in the States launched the Frequently Asked Questions tool.
The tool allows international students, school officials and other stakeholders to learn the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the international student life cycle and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification process.
The Frequently Asked Questions tool organizes questions into six categories:
- Getting Started.
- Studying in the United States.
- Traveling to the United States.
- Student Benefits.
- Status Changes.
- SEVP Certification.
Navigating through the tool is easy. You can either scroll down the page to see each question or jump to a specific section by selecting one of the category links at the top of the page. To view the answer to an FAQ, select the expand button (+) to the left of the question.
