During the SEVP InFocus Webinar on Aug. 30, 2017, Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) officials discussed the latest program news and updates.

The webinar, which was designed for designated school officials (DSOs), included:

• Information about recent Student and Exchange Visitor Information System enhancements.
• Tips for the back to school season.
• Updates about the newest resources on Study in the States.

The webinar also included a special presentation from SEVP Director Rachel Canty about Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts and her role at SEVP.

During the webinar, SEVP representatives also reminded school officials that the SEVP Ask the Experts Webinar: Behind the Scenes of Form I-17 Updates recording is a great resource to learn more about the Form I-17, “Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student.” The webinar reminded DSOs that they must report any changes to the information on the Form I-17 within 21 days.
