Thank You for Completing the Annual SEVIS Verification

March 9, 2017

March 2, 2017, marked the end of the annual Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) verification period. As of that date, 98 percent of school/program officials in SEVIS have been verified.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) thanks the principal designated school officials (PDSO) who completed their annual SEVIS verification on time. If you are a PDSO who has not yet completed your school’s SEVIS verification, please do so immediately. The SEVIS Help Hub’s PDSO/DSO Annual Verification User Guide and Demonstration: Annual Verification provide detailed instructions on how to fulfill this requirement.

As a reminder, each year PDSOs must verify that all system users associated with their school:

  • Are employed by the school as a PDSO or DSO.
  • Continue to require access to SEVIS.

Any SEVIS user who is not verified will remain locked out of the system until their PDSO complies. For more information about how to complete SEVIS verification, please read the frequently asked questions on the SEVIS Help Hub.
