Join OAE’s Community Colleges Webinar
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) supports the DHS mission by building, improving and leveraging relationships with the academic community.
Through this ongoing series, read how OAE actively engages with the academic community in the United States and leads initiatives related to international students, among other key focus areas.
On Dec. 7, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST, DHS’s OAE will host the International Student Interagency Webinar for Community Colleges.
OAE will host the event in partnership with the Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP), the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The webinar, designed specifically for designated school officials at community colleges, will feature important information about the international student process and compliance with federal regulations. During the event, participants will be able to ask questions directly to interagency staff.
Community colleges play a vital role in the U.S. higher education landscape. The webinar will explain how SEVP-certified community colleges can best recruit, integrate and welcome international students to their campuses.
The International Student Interagency Webinar for Community Colleges is one of SEVP’s many free webinars that provide stakeholders, including designated school officials, with program updates or information on hot topics and trends in international education.
