SEVIS by the Numbers Focuses on European Students
This quarter’s SEVIS by the Numbers report focuses on the approximately 80,000 F and M students from Europe currently studying in the United States. Of these European F and M students, around 44 percent are located in California, New York and Massachusetts.
The report indicates that approximately 57 percent of European students studying in the United States are from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Russia and Italy. The United Kingdom ranks highest, sending 13 percent of all European F and M students.
Using data from the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), this quarterly report provides insights into international student data. This edition pays special attention to the international students coming from the European continent, as we may see an increasing number of European students choosing to study in the United States in the years to come.
