SEVIS Release 6.27 Offers New Functionality to Help DSOs Remain Compliant

July 21, 2016

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Release 6.27, deployed on July 8, 2016, introduced improved system functionalities to help designated school officials (DSOs) remain compliant. New functionalities include:

  • Validations for F-1 and M-1 registration that make it easier to ensure initial or active students are still pursuing their academic or vocational program.
  • New mass registration functionality that enables DSOs to register multiple student records simultaneously using a quick three-step process of searching, selecting and registering students with similar information.
  • An improved process for creating and issuing an initial Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Students.”

To see a full list of all functions deployed in the SEVIS Release 6.27, visit the SEVIS Release 6.27 Planning Guide on the SEVIS Help Hub.

To learn more about the functionality included in this release, register for the SEVIS 6.27 Post- release Webinar on July 22 at 2 p.m. EDT.
