Learn About Financial Aid and Scholarships with EducationUSA

June 29, 2016

Prospective international students can use the EducationUSA network as a resource to find information about applying for financial aid and scholarships to study in the United States.

EducationUSA’s Find Financial Aid tool allows you to access special financial aid resources available specifically for international students. Use the tool to search by degree level (bachelor’s, master’s, etc.) or U.S. state for scholarships, grants and fellowships you may be eligible to receive. You can also find more information about government-sponsored scholarship programs that may be available in your country.

EducationUSA is the U.S. Department of State’s network of international student advising centers in more than 170 countries. Depending on the level of service a center provides, you may be able to work individually with an adviser to learn about financial aid options.

When you decide to study in the United States, start the financial planning process as early as possible and review EducationUSA’s 5 Steps to U.S. Study as you navigate the process. Knowing what you are able to spend on your education will ensure that you choose the best program for your educational goals and budget.
