Tune In for Two SEVP Webinars in One Week

April 7, 2016

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SEVP INFOCUS WEBINAR HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY, APRIL 21, 2016 FROM 1 TO 2 P.M. EDT.

Join the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) for SEVP Webinar Week! SEVP will host two webinars:

  • April 14, 2016, 2 to 3 p.m. EDT: SEVP Special Report: STEM OPT
This webinar will provide school officials and international students with a comprehensive review of the new regulation extending the optional practical training (OPT) period for some students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees.

  • April 21, 2016, 1 to 2 p.m. EDT: SEVP InFocus Webinar
This webinar will provide school officials with programmatic news and updates, including information about policy changes and compliance for schools and students.

These webinars are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Stakeholders can access both webinars through the Study in the States Stakeholder Webinars page.  Simply click on the webinar’s title under the “Upcoming Webinars” section of the page, and select the blue “Watch the Webinar” button for a link to the Adobe Connect platform.

Please note that viewership is limited to the first 1,000 participants per webinar. Given the popularity of the new rule, SEVP recommends that multiple attendees watch the webinar together in one location, if possible, as both international students as well as school officials are encouraged to watch.

If you are unable to enter the room at the time of the webinar due to space limitations, a recording will be available on Study in the States within one week after the event.

If this is your first SEVP webinar, please take a moment to read the Adobe Connect QuickStart Guide and to test your browser speed prior to the event.
