Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Director Lou Farrell explains the optional practical training (OPT) extension for students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees in the latest edition of the SEVP Spotlight.

In the article, Director Farrell discusses the changes to the STEM OPT extension that will take effect on May 10, 2016, and reminds stakeholders that they can find comprehensive information about the rule on the Study in the States STEM OPT Hub.
