Join SEVP on April 19 for the EducationUSA Interactive Series: Student Visas and the 8 Step International Student Process
On April 19, 2016, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) will join visa experts from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs in a live, global webchat to discuss the eight steps to studying in the United States.
The webchat begins at 10 a.m. EDT — you can use this online clock converter to find out what time the webchat will occur where you live. At that time, you can join the chat by visiting EducationUSA Interactive’s website. Log in to the EducationUSA chat space to ask your questions directly to the experts!
During the webchat, the on-camera experts from SEVP and the Department of State will walk through:
- Applying to an SEVP-certified college or university.
- Paying your I-901 SEVIS Fee.
- Preparing for your visa interview.
- Arriving in the United States.
- Maintaining your student status while you are in the United States.
There will be visa and international student process experts in the chat space ready to answer any additional visa-related questions that are not addressed by our on-camera experts.
An audio-only option will be available for low-bandwidth viewers and a closed captioning option will be available for the English player. To access the audio-only option, click on the grid icon in the lower right corner of the player. For closed captioning, simply click on the “cc,” also located in the lower right corner of the player.
