Submit Your Questions for the April 14 STEM OPT Webinar

March 30, 2016

Students and school officials, please email your questions about the new science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) optional practical training (OPT) regulation to SEVPOutreach@ice.dhs.gov by April 1, 2016.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) will answer these pre-submitted questions during the SEVP Special Report: STEM OPT webinar that will take place on April 14, 2016, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT.

This webinar is free and open to the public. SEVP encourages interested STEM OPT participants and school officials who manage eligible F-1 students to save the webinar date in your calendars and to attend.

In this hourlong webinar, representatives from SEVP will discuss important regulatory changes, as well as the transition plan for STEM students currently applying or thinking of applying for an extension of their OPT period.

Please note that SEVP will answer only pre-submitted questions during the webinar and will not open up the discussion for a live question and answer session.

If you are unable to join the live webinar, a transcript and recording of the presentation will be available on the Study in the States Stakeholder Webinars page within one week after the event.

Please visit the STEM OPT Hub for more information about this new regulation.
