DSOs: Register for the SEVIS 6.25 Pre-Release and Batch Webinar This Friday

March 1, 2016

Registration is open for the SEVIS 6.25 Pre-Release and Batch Webinar taking place this Friday, March 4, 2016, from 1 to 3 p.m. EST. The two-part webinar will be hosted by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and the U.S. Department of State.

The first hour is relevant for all Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) users, and will focus on the additional system functionality improvements SEVP will deploy in the March 2016 SEVIS 6.25 release.

During the second hour, the webinar will cover batch-related functionality that SEVP will deploy during the upcoming June 2016 release. Batch processing occurs when an SEVP-certified school uses a third-party software or database to identify and push changes from international student records in a school’s official academic database to SEVIS.

Schools that enroll large numbers of international students may use batch processing to increase efficiency in managing records in SEVIS. To take advantage of batch processing, schools must first test their external system to ensure functionality with the SEVIS-batch interface. Once testing is complete, schools can then register for batch processing. Contact the SEVP Response Center to begin batch testing or to learn more about the process.
