Join SEVP’s First Ask the Experts Webinar Now on Feb.18

January 13, 2016

Update: Due to inclement weather in the Washington, DC area, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Ask the Experts webinar is rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, from 1 – 2 p.m. EST. Please update your calendars for the new date using the attached webinar invitation.

School officials: mark your calendar for Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. EST to participate in the live Ask the Experts: PDSO and DSO Updates webinar. This webinar is free and open to the public.

During the webinar, federal adjudicators from the SEVP School Certification Unit will discuss the new process for principal designated school official (PDSO) and designated school official (DSO) updates to the Form I-17, “Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student,” as well as the progress the program has made on decreasing the current PDSO and DSO updates backlog.

SEVP encourages school officials to submit questions about PDSO and DSO updates to SEVPOutreach@ice.dhs.gov prior to the Feb. 18 webinar. During the live event, SEVP adjudicators will answer stakeholders’ pre-submitted questions on the webinar topic. If you have a case-specific question, please direct it to the SEVP Response Center.

One week prior to the event, a registration link will be provided on Study in the States. SEVP webinars use the Adobe Connect webinar platform, which allows participants to hear presenters and view a copy of the presentation. To ensure your browser supports Adobe Connect, read our Adobe Connect Quick Start Guide prior to the webinar.
