Find Answers with the Study in the States Ask a Question Tool
Our Ask a Question tool helps both international students and school officials find answers to frequently asked questions about the rules and regulations for studying in the United States.
The tool offers three different search functions to help you find the answers you need:
- You can use the text box to type a full question or enter keywords.
- You can also use the drop-down audience filter to search based on whether the information relates to students or schools.
- You can use the drop-down category filter to search by a specific topic.
You may use one, two or all three of these options to conduct your search. Once you provide any combination of information in the search fields, click the blue “Apply” button found below the dropdown filters. Once clicked, the tool will populate a number of “Recommended Questions” and corresponding answers on the bottom half of the screen.
Click on the “More” option found at the bottom right-hand side of each question. This will provide you detailed information and allow you to view the corresponding blue, identifying tags that the tool uses to organize its stored information.
When you click on one of these blue tags, the Ask a Question tool will populate all the “Recommended Questions," which relate to that specific tag. This feature makes it easy for you to view all the relevant information about a specific subject.
To begin a new search, simply click the white “Reset” button located next to the blue “Apply” button you clicked to initiate your original search.
