DHS to Co-Host Sept. 30 Webinar for Hispanic Serving Institutions

September 28, 2015

This Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. EDT, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) will co-host an International Student Overview Webinar designed specifically for Hispanic Serving Institutions.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of State, this one-hour webinar will support Hispanic Serving Institutions in their efforts to recruit, advise and manage international students. The webinar will feature senior staff from DHS’s OAE and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, as well as from the U.S. Department of State's EducationUSA program.

Presenters will provide an overview of the international student immigration process, share information related to the recruitment of international students and compliance with federal regulations, and describe resources available to international students and institutions. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to directly ask questions using a live chat feature.

If interested in participating, please email OAE at AcademicEngagement@hq.dhs.gov for access information.

We encourage you to save the date and participate in this important dialogue!
