DSOs: Read the SEVP Spotlight for Back to School Reminders from a Field Representative

August 18, 2015

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) published its August 2015 edition of the SEVP Spotlight featuring an article penned by SEVP Field Representative Adam Harold.

Last month, we featured Mr. Harold’s advice for new designated school officials (DSO). In the August SEVP Spotlight, he provides specific, easy-to-follow back-to-school advice for DSOs of all experience levels.

As a former DSO, Mr. Harold is able to provide specific advice, but also clearly explains why his suggestions will make your job go more smoothly. Mr. Harold outlines the importance of having a systematic process to check-in students, gives insight into the types of questions you should be asking yourself as you prepare for a new school term and advises you to work with colleagues when possible to form a comprehensive plan to ensure your school remains complaint.

Read Mr. Harold’s back to school advice, along with other important program news by downloading a copy of the August SEVP Spotlight on Study in the States. Share this edition with your colleagues on social media using the hashtag #StudyintheStates.
