Follow Friday – What is EducationUSA?

July 10, 2015
Are you preparing to study in the United States? At times, the process can seem overwhelming and confusing; however, the U.S. government offers several free resources to help international students navigate the process. One such resource all prospective international students can use is EducationUSA.

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of more than 400 international student advising centers in more than 170 countries. The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive and current information about opportunities to study at SEVP-certified and accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States. Remember, as an F or M international student you may only attend an SEVP-certified school

For individualized assistance on preparing for your studies in the United States, find an EducationUSA advising center near you. EducationUSA advisors often have first-hand experience studying in the United States and are familiar with the steps you must take to maintain your status once you begin your U.S. studies.
