Study in the States Continues to Enhance Its Free Resources
June 2, 2015
Study in the States has been enhanced to make the site more useful for stakeholders. These enhancements include offering Study in the States content to international students and nonnative English speakers in 90 different languages, and updating the school search page map to include U.S. territories that host Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certified schools or programs.
In addition to the 50 states and the District of Columbia, the U.S. government also administers 16 territories in American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Currently, there are 97 SEVP-certified schools in these territories that offer a range of academic and vocational programs for international students.
All F and M international students can only attend an SEVP-certified school. If you are a current or prospective F or M student who wants to enroll in a program or school in any of the above territories, use the Study in the States school search page to ensure they are SEVP-certified.
