Learn about SEVIS Enhancements

May 1, 2015
In April, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and the U.S. Department of State held a two-part webinar about the latest batch updates and Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Release 6.20, which focused on the new student employment information page.

If you would like to learn more about future SEVIS enhancements, including what to expect from the upcoming June release, we encourage you to watch chapter five of SEVP’s Spring/Summer 2015 Conference Presentation

In this chapter, SEVP explains how the next release will implement new standards for SEVIS names, addresses and email addresses. To support this release, SEVP and the Department of State plan to update the Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” and Form DS-2019, “Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status,” to reflect the new naming standards in SEVIS.

Additional updates include a new SEVIS Downloads page, a mass reprint feature and a new Form 7002, “Trainee/Internship Placement Plan,” to help SEVIS program sponsors remain compliant with the Department of State’s reporting requirements.

When you are finished viewing the Spring/Summer 2015 Conference Presentation, we encourage you to share your feedback with us via the Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey on Study in the States. This brief, online form will provide SEVP with the information we need to continue offering you the best and most useful information at events and online. Thank you for your time and assistance!
