Learn About National Financial Capability Month
April 2, 2015
A U.S. education is an important decision for many reasons, one of which is the financial undertaking that it entails.
President Barack Obama proclaimed April as National Financial Capability Month. Sometimes referred to as Financial Literacy Month, this annual event highlights the importance of managing your personal finances so that you may pursue the future you want. As an international student, you can participate by learning more about your financial responsibilities and understanding the requirements while you study in the United States.
Throughout this month, Study in the States will highlight key financial-related information international students should know. We will cover taxes, employment, financial aid and other relevant topics to help you better understand how to become more financially literate.
