Resolve to Be Ready in 2015!
January 5, 2015
As the new year begins, we encourage you to join Ready.gov in their “Resolve to Be Ready” campaign in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Resolve to Be Ready helps everyone in the United States prepare for weather hazards and natural disasters.
By joining this campaign, you can learn about measures to take on and off campus, before, during and after an emergency. FEMA’s goal is to encourage everyone to start the conversation on how to be ready before disaster strikes and have emergency plans in place for when you need them the most. Resolve to Be Ready takes a seasonal approach to help encourage schools, families, communities and institutions prepare throughout the year for all weather hazards in winter, spring, summer and fall.
To get started, visit Ready.gov’s Make A Plan page and explore how to build a disaster safety kit and get involved in spreading the word about preparedness.
Share your preparedness tips with us on Facebook and Twitter, using #Ready2015. We look forward to helping everyone have a safe and healthy year!
