Learn About 100,000 Strong in the Americas
The 100,000 Strong in the Americas is a campaign launched by President Obama to increase the number of educational exchanges in the Western Hemisphere. The campaign’s goal is to strengthen ties between the United States and other countries of the Americas through student mobility.
A recent blog post from the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) highlights 100,000 Strong in the Americas and explains their involvement in the campaign. NAFSA, along with the U.S. Department of State and Partners of the Americas, launched the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund to mobilize resources for the campaign. Through the fund, universities can apply and compete for grants to support their study abroad program efforts.
Students can visit the 100,000 Strong in the Americas website to learn more about the opportunities available to them through study abroad programs in the United States. If you decide to study in the United States, remember F and M student visa holders must enroll in a Student and Exchange Visitor Program-certified school.
