Students, do you want to study in the United States, but are not sure how to get started exploring your options? The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is here to help! There are several academic options available for international students. Depending on the institutions you apply to and your student visa status, you may find yourself at an American university or college, vocational/nonacademic school, high school, private elementary school, a religious seminary, a conservatory or another academic institution, including a language-training program. Deciding which institution is best for you and enrolling in the right classes can be overwhelming. We encourage you to check out the helpful tips on where to click below:
- Begin your research with EducationUSA’s 5 Steps to U.S. Study
- Visit the Study Guide to the States for guidance on how to properly navigate each phase of the experience
- Search the Study in the States schools’ list to ensure the schools you are interested in are certified by SEVP
- Locate the closest EducationUSA advising services to you. This service can help answer school selection questions
- Use the video platforms YouTube and YouVisit to take virtual tours of campuses
