Reminder to School Officials: Consolidation of the SEVIS Help Desk E-mail & Fax Number

July 1, 2014

As a reminder, if you are sending in documentation for a Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) data fix or correction request, the SEVIS fax number and HP e-mail address are no longer being used to collect this information.

As of July 1, 2014, schools should only submit documentation to the SEVISHelpDesk@ice.dhs.gov e-mail address.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) previously used e-mail and fax for stakeholders to submit documentation in support of a SEVIS correction request or Help Desk ticket. The following were the previous communication channels SEVP utilized to receive such information that will no longer be used as of July 1:

The need to fax documentation is being eliminated to consolidate requests and create a more efficient way for stakeholders to provide information.

Any school that has a concern with e-mailing documentation (e.g., due to personally identifiable information) is instructed to e-mail SEVP@ice.dhs.gov for further guidance. Additionally, if you e-mailed the SEVISHelpDesk@HP.com before July 1, 2014, and have not heard back, please resend your inquiry to the SEVIShelpdesk@ice.dhs.gov.

If you have additional questions, please contact the SEVP Response Center at 703-603-3400 for assistance.
