Check Out Community Colleges when Considering U.S. Schools
You have many options for educational programs in the United States — the only rule is that your school must be certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). The U.S. Department of Education (ED) writes that when many students decide to go to college, they immediately decide that a four year school is right for them. All schools offer different benefits, but community colleges are also a great option for students. The popularity of these schools is rising and now they enroll approximately 50% of all undergraduate students across the country.
There are many positives to attending community colleges. They can help you prepare for a four-year school and a bachelor’s degree or beyond. According to ED, students at community colleges can earn “…an associate’s degree, or retrain and retool for the 21st century global economy.” Many community colleges have more affordable options and some have specific programs to help students eventually transition to a four-year school.
