Programs for Poets

April 25, 2014

April is National Poetry Month in the United States and the U.S. Department of Education is providing teachers with poetry resources and activities for students.

According to the Institute of International Education's Open Doors Report, during the 2012 – 2013 school year, more than 45,000 students from around the world studied fine and applied arts in the United States. Students in art programs can learn about subjects including poetry, music, painting and even graphic design.

In addition to liberal arts programs like poetry, prospective students have other options for study in the United States. The Open Doors Report also highlights some of the most popular programs for students, such as business and engineering. If you are interested in studying in the United States, research program options at U.S. schools to determine which one is the best fit for you. Then, search for Student and Exchange Visitor Program-certified schools on the School Search page to find out where you can apply.
