Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and Irish Students in the States

March 17, 2014

Many cities across the country celebrate St. Patrick’s Day every March 17 to honor Irish culture. According to the 2013 Open Doors Report from the Institute of International Education, 1,158 Irish students studied in the United States during the 2012/13 academic year.

If you currently live in Ireland (or anywhere around the world) and want to enroll in a U.S. school, there are various U.S. government resources that can assist you. Find your closest EducationUSA advising center; EducationUSA representatives can help you find a school or program that meets your interests.

F and M students may only attend Student and Exchange Visitor Program-certified schools. You can use the School Search page to find one. Once you are accepted to a school, use the Students Portal for information on how to best prepare.

For updates, news, and information on the international student process follow the Study in the States blog, Facebook, and Twitter.
