Students: Participate in International Education Week 2013
International Education Week, co-sponsored by the U.S. Departments of State and Education, started yesterday and runs through November 22, 2013. This week celebrates the benefits and opportunities students encounter when they enroll in programs in other countries. If you are a current or prospective student, do you know how you can participate and learn more about studying abroad?
Join EducationUSA’s Virtual College Fair today, November 13, 2013, from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. This is a free event where you can learn more about studying in the United States, chat with representatives from schools around the country, listen to other students and get advice on how best to prepare.
Tomorrow, November 14, 2013, you can take part in a Google+ hangout with Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Evan Ryan for the Department of State’s first ever session on study abroad. You can ask questions in advance on Twitter to @ECA_AS and follow the hangout with hashtag #IEW2013.
Even if you cannot join these online sessions, you can visit a local EducationUSA advising center – they have more than 400 locations in 170 countries. Be sure the U.S. school you choose to attend is certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.
