Extension of Deadline for Commenting on Policy Draft Guidance

October 23, 2013

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) has extended the feedback period for public comment on the following draft guidance until November 16, 2013:

  • Annual Vacation
  • Temporary Absence
  • Timely Filing

This extension reflects a new SEVP policy to allow public comment on draft guidance for a period of 45 calendar days. In the future, all draft guidance will be subject to a 45 calendar day feedback period

The draft guidance and instructions for submitting feedback are on our SEVP Guidance: Opportunity for Stakeholder Feedback page. Comments for each guidance document must be in a separate e-mail. To comment on the draft guidance, e-mail SEVPFeedback@ice.dhs.govwith the title of the guidance in the subject line.
