Remember to Follow U.S. Laws
July 1, 2013
As an F or M student in the United States you must maintain your student status by following the Department of Homeland Security's rules and regulations. For example, if you want to drive, you must obtain a driver’s license. If you want to work, you can only do so with authorization from your designated school official (DSO). You must also follow all laws and regulations that are mandated by the state in which you live and by the federal government.
- For more information on federal laws, visit USA.gov
- For more information on state laws, visit the U.S. Library of Congress’ website
If you have questions talk with your DSO, campus police or your local police department.
