School Officials: Join our Webinar to Learn About Form I-94 Automation

April 8, 2013

Effective on April 26, 2013, a new U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) rule will go into effect to automate the Form I-94, “Arrival/ Departure Record”. With the new automated I-94 process, CBP officers will create an electronic automated arrival I-94 record during the admissions process for nonimmigrants entering the United States at the port of entry. CBP will no longer issue a paper Form I-94 to most travelers.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program and CBP will be hosting an informational webinar on I-94 automation on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (ET).

You can access the webinar on our webinars page (StudyintheStates.dhs.gov/Webinars). We will also make the webinar available as a downloadable recording for those who cannot attend live.

For more information regarding CBP’s Form I-94 automation, please visit CBP’s website at www.cbp.gov and review their news release regarding Form I-94 Automation. Please also read the USCIS alert.
