From PDSO to SEVP Field Representative: An Interview with Jenifer Jaques

May 4, 2015
As a former principal designated school official (PDSO), Jenifer Jaques brings an insider’s prospective to her role as a Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) field representative. Her academic background and experience has helped schools better understand SEVP and comply with the nonimmigrant student process.

Ms. Jaques was interviewed for the latest edition of the SEVP Spotlight, where she shares her unique story of serving as a PDSO at a non-standard educational institution that has helped prepare her for her role in supporting SEVP’s mission as one of its field representatives.

For nearly 10 years, Ms. Jaques wished for a central source to turn to for her school-specific questions. Once SEVP began hiring its first class of field representatives, Ms. Jaques knew the new role was both the solution schools needed and the job she wanted.

Read more about Ms. Jaques’ story in SEVP Spotlight, a quarterly newsletter that includes interviews, articles and insights about SEVP and the international student process.
