Explore the Mapping SEVIS by the Numbers Tool

May 9, 2018

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program’s (SEVP) latest SEVIS by the Numbers report is now available on ICE.gov/SEVP. You can also explore the report’s data with Mapping SEVIS by the Numbers on Study in the States.

Mapping SEVIS by the Numbers is an interactive tool that illustrates trends and information on international students in the United States using data from the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). The map is updated with information from SEVIS every quarter.

Start by exploring the data from either a continent or U.S. perspective. Use the continent map to analyze trends from a continent, region, or country and the U.S. map to view data in a specific U.S. state. Both maps include information about:

  • Where international students come from.
  • Male-to-female international student ratios.
  • International students’ education levels.

Each map also includes information about students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. As a note, the tool only aggregates STEM information at the continent level.

To learn more about international student trends, access Mapping SEVIS by the Numbers on the Tools page or download the complete April 2018 SEVIS by the Numbers report.
