Are you thinking about studying in the United States? If you are a prospective international student, you may have questions about what to expect with the international student process and how to stay compliant with U.S. immigration rules and regulations.
 
Here are a few free government resources that can help you begin to navigate your way through the international student process:
 
Study Guide to the States: The Study Guide serves as your step-by-step resource for the whole study abroad process. Learn about the documents you will need to obtain, how to maintain your status while in the United States and options you can take once your program of study is complete. 
 
EducationUSA: A U.S. Department of State-supported network with advising centers in 170 countries that provide students with information to help them select a school in the United States.
 
Study in the States School Search Page: Only schools certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) can accept F and M international students. Visit the school search page to ensure the school or program you would like to attend is SEVP-certified.
