SEVP Launches First Class of Field Representatives
The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is excited to announce the deployment of the first 15 field representatives as part of the new Field Representative Unit. Field representatives will serve as direct day‑to‑day liaisons between SEVP and certified schools. They will also serve to enhance national security by fostering regulatory adherence and Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) data integrity.
The first group of 15 representatives is part of the 60 total field representatives SEVP plans to deploy nationwide. You can find additional information about the SEVP field representatives and how they can help you on the Study in the States Field Representative Unit resource page.
Field representatives are intended to communicate directly with school officials. Students who have questions about SEVP should ask their designated school official or contact the SEVP Response Center.
